About Paruso · Air quality, pollen & UV

Paruso gives you a clean, fast answer to one everyday question: what's the air like where I'm going, and should hay-fever be on my radar, and how strong is the sun?

What we cover

For 738 European cities we publish the current European Air Quality Index (EAQI), the main pollutants (PM2.5, PM10, NO₂, ozone) and six pollen types (grass, birch, olive, mugwort, alder, ragweed), plus a short multi-day outlook. You can also look up any other place in Europe live from the home page.

Where the data comes from

All figures come from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) European model, accessed through the open Open-Meteo API - covering the European Air Quality Index, the main pollutants, six pollen types and the UV index. We rebuild every page once a day.

What the values mean

The European Air Quality Index (EAQI) summarises PM2.5, PM10, NO₂ and ozone on one scale - lower is cleaner air:

GoodEAQI 0–20
FairEAQI 20–40
ModerateEAQI 40–60
PoorEAQI 60–80
Very poorEAQI 80–100
Extremely poorEAQI 100+

Pollen is reported in grains per m³ and banded from none to very high (thresholds differ per plant). All figures are indicative and not medical advice.

Independence

Paruso is independent and free to use, with no account required. Some outbound product links may be affiliate links that help fund the site; they never change the data we show.

Important: the information on Paruso is indicative and not a medical diagnosis. If you have asthma, a severe allergy or another condition, follow the advice of your doctor.
